Jean-Luc Stevens

I am a final-year PhD in computational neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh working on large-scale models of the primary visual cortex. My scientific code is exclusively written in Python and is openly accessible together with my research publications under a BSD licence on GitHub. Much of my work has been aimed at making reproducible and open research a practical reality in Python, with particular emphasis on effective use of the IPython Notebook environment. In particular, I have authored two new open source projects, HoloViews and Lancet, that improve scientific reproducibility and that are in regular use by researchers outside of my own field.
