Edwin van der Helm

After working for two years as a software developer, I started my PhD in computational astrophysics in Leiden with Simon Portegies Zwart. There I use (and develop) the python framework AMUSE to simulate gas dynamics near black holes and in young star clusters. What I like most about this PhD is that I can combine programming with scientific research in a very succesful way.
