Álvaro Justen (also known online as Turicas) is a passionate software developer and acts as a activist in the free/libre software movement. He develops software in Python since 2005 and currently works creating PyPLN, a free/libre distributed platform for natural language processing at Applied Math School in Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).

Electronics is one of his hobbies and he also make projects using Arduino, the leading "do-it-yourself" platform for physical computing. Together with the passion to develop software, Álvaro like also to teach and give classes on computing and electronics. Hobbies outside technology world: coffee, bikes, travel, learning.
